I know this post has been a year ago but I’ll jump in. Thank you thank you thank you. The topics that you included were exactly what I needed to hear. As an Asian male, I worry that I would be judged and I wouldn’t build rapport but you mentioning being your authentic self has reminded me that nothing else matters. I had been holding back and having self doubts because of that and not having the right skills but that is why there is school and supervision. Thank you for this. It is helping me get over my self-doubts.

I'm really interested in knowing how you established a steady flow of referrals? Would you recommend hiring a consultant for that or were you able to establish your clientele on your own?

I just started at the university to study psychology and i already gracuated for my hbo propedeuse with 1 year of studying ( so that i could go to university). I was wondering how your life will look like as a therapist! Right now i'm interested in the path to become a child psychologist. I work already 5 year with kids and i think the development is very interesting. Next to that i love to work with woman, that struggle with different issues in there life, can be anxiety, low self esteme, depression. When did you realize that you wanted to work with adults? Probably one of the lowest paid professional careers requiring a Masters. It takes over 11 years before you get licensed and then low pay to pay off your $$$ loans for your education.

I love this!! I’ve been looking for ways to take a month off as well, and I feel like it would be too early since I’ve only been in private practice for a year now. But knowing that the clients will be ok is definitely key

Ahhh welcome back. I love private practice but watching my therapist navigate trying to run a group practice has been such a turn off. People use and abuse. I do hope you are successful on this endeavor

I’m glad you started videos again. I have no desire for a group practice and this video just confirmed it for me. But your videos do encourage me to be on my boss women shit and be better disciplined with my private practice.
